second challenge for the Designer Project cycle 7 -- Sheer Genius| outfit based on Transparency, and sheer fabrics | haute couture |
......................... Name of Topic: Sheer Genius Fabric(s): silk, organza, tulle and lace. Color Scheme: china.green, lime.green, medium.spring.green, ivory.white, carmin, gray, black, gold | fuchsia and purple for the background | Model: Jaquelyn. Description: Trasparency makes me think of water elements, of nature, feelings, spring and summer, heat, sun, comfort, shallow people, social matters, high fashion, Ancient Egypt, Greek Empire, fairy tales, kings and queens. I tried to combine all that in this dress. I thought the Empire look would fit perfectly with the theme. It is simple but at the same time elegant. It has a rather vintage touch (because of the ancient Egyptian an Greek influences) but it adds up to a more modern and fashionable look. The shades of green of the dress are contrasted with the carmin straps and highlighted with white, from the lace, and gold from the beads. *green make-up (it's not very visible), and green sandals with straps (and one strap with golden beads). ......................... medium: watercolors, crayons, pencils, markers on paper ......................... © All the works in my deviantART gallery are © and may not be reproduced, copied, edited, published, transmitted or uploaded in any way without my written permission. The draping is phenomenal and the use of sheer fabric was ingenious
